A week in the Badillo household......

Well maybe not a week but the past couple of days. I made it through our super saturday and my children and husband are all alive! ;o) It was a pretty crazy week with me not feeling as I should, Aidan still holding on to his crazy cough and then Max getting strep throat and a very nasty chest infection along with the barking cough. He only went to school one day last week. Thank goodness it is the end of the quarter and he can start fresh again. At least we have had beautiful weather. I can't say it is fall weather as it has still been in the high 80's but we have enjoyed it cooling off at nights. Because it is fall I have really been in the mood for baking and cooking soups. I love it when the house smells like cinnamon and spices. It makes me really excited for the holidays! But now that we made it through super saturday I need to figure out Halloween costumes, since we have a party these weekend at Lemuel's cousins house. I haven't even thought about ideas and the kids haven't decided on anything either.

So I had an interesting experience with Aidan on Friday. He was playing in the living room while I was showering and he kept calling my name. I came out and found him really upset with this stuck to his arm.
He stuck his hand into my vase while holding a rope. Because of this rope I couldn't get his arm out. I pushed and tried to twist it off but it wouldn't come. So after pouring a little of this down his arm, I was able to twist it just enough for the oil to loosen it.
After he was free he said, "Oh thanks mom. The rope is stuck and I not gettin it. All better."

Too cute. He was more worried about his rope than his arm!

Such a boy thing to say. All boys I feel are more worried about the toy than the limbs they need to play with the toy. He is so cute. Miss you tons. Love ya

I hope your Super Saturday went well. I'm sorry to hear you've been sick. Call me sometime, or e-mail, so we can plan Thanksgiving. If you'll have the kids look at the Scholastic flyers and let me know what books they like then I can bring some when we come. Miss you! MOM

Poor Aiden with his little arm in there! Kids are so funny! Cole puts his leg in between the slats of our kitchen chairs every now and then and he'll get his leg stuck and it's instant panic! It's so funny! I just lift his leg out and tell him not to do it again and then he does it again. He's so weird.
