Max got Baptized!

We had a wonderful weekend with family and friends. My sister Amy and her two boys arrived Thursday afternoon and then my parents and sister Rachel and her three girls arrived Friday afternoon. We went to In-N-Out for dinner and then went over to Max and Elena's school carnival for some games. Despite the rain, the kids had a good time. Saturday we had a picnic at the park and let the kids run off some energy for a couple of hours. Despite one little fall and a couple of sunburns, we had a fun time. The baptism started at 5:00. There were 8 boys and 1 girl being baptized!  What a fun sight it was to see all those future missionaries sitting on the stand. Max was the first one to be baptized. As you can see by the look on his face, he was super excited! I asked him how he felt when he came to sit down by me and he said, "I feel all brand new! I am clean!"   

Lemuel helped him pick out a new suit and Max picked out his own zipper tie!  Aren't they a handsome pair?
I just can't get over how much Max has grown in the last year. He is such a caring boy and loves his family very much. I am so proud of him and his decision to be baptized into our church!

We are so grateful that everyone skipped work, classes, and lessons to be there for him! It really meant a lot to have you all there!
